About the event:  Join us for an evening reception in support of the 2018 Young Feminist Conference. Special Performance by Sophia Byrd, co-founder of Youth for Black Lives, a Chicago-based youth activism organization focused on racial justice.

In 2017, Cause the Effect Chicago's Young Feminist Conference brought together over 300 young women from across the city to get smart, vocal and active on the issues that matter to them. Since then, we've expanded our young feminist programming, including a #MeToo for Teens event this past winter, and look forward to a bigger and better Conference in 2018.

About the movie: At the age of 85, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a breathtaking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. But without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior's rise to the nation's highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans – until now. RBG is a revelatory documentary exploring Ginsburg 's exceptional life and career from Betsy West and Julie Cohen, and co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films. WATCH TRAILER

About the show: We’ll bet you 72 cents on the dollar (or much, much less!) you’ll cheer for this sketch show entirely created, designed, and performed by the fearlessly funny women of The Second City! This mimosa-and-madness-fueled foray roasts the patriarchy, taking on everything from having it all…to having that sick feeling your government is trying to send you back to the Middle Ages. It’s time for women everywhere to collectively reclaim comedy!
