Julie Schumacher is an independent copywriter and editor. She partners with designers and design studios around the US on digital and print work, strategy and branding. She's also the co-founder of Forth Chicago, a community and resource for creative entrepreneurial women in Chicago. 

Before unleashing her words on the world, she spent a decade teaching history, journalism, and sex ed at Harvard-Westlake in Los Angeles and Francis W. Parker in Chicago. She received her BA from Brown University in History and American Civilization and an EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Julie lives with her web-developer husband and copper-topped tot in Oak Park, IL.
